  • One stop E-Commerce solution for all building materials & services required by a contractor, builder, turn-key interior designer & architect. Our intention to start EMSE is to increase profitability of our customers by reducing overheads and time consumed.
    I started this on 20/08/2020 while I was still in the final year of my university. I started EMSE as I had seen my father & uncle go through an extensive process of calling with absolutely no technology to support or adapt. I wanted to solve this problem and transform this industry.

Major Milestones:

Made partnership agreements with brands we wanted on board. We got 40 brands.

01/02/21- 31/03/21

Tapped on customers, converted them and executed 1st few orders.

01/04/21- 31/03/22

  • Achieved turnover of INR 4,22,00,000
  • Incubated at Zone Startups India- in association with BSE
  • Selected in Cornell Maha- 60, an accelerator program by Cornell University and Government Of Maharashtra. 60 of us were selected from more than 1000 applicants.
  • Set up an efficient IT

My Profile:

  • I am the founder & so I do pretty much everything 😊
  • I've set meetings along with brands, conducted them and mailed them to sign the agreement.
  • I've cold called my potential customers and heard no so many times, heard yes- went for meetings and converted them.
  • I also had to broom my office and clean my desk.
  • Being an entrepreneur is a very glorified job and it is an amazing job but not glorified.
  • It's all glory when you've billions in your bank account and you don't have to worry about paying your employees salary
  • I've been through days where I had to sit in the office till 12am, cry in my office and had to go to a psychiatrist. All of it seems worth it when you see your sales number shoot up.

Hindustan Unilever Limited

  • Mission: To make sustainable living commonplace.

  • My story of how I landed an internship in such a prestigious company?
    I got a full time internship at Hindustan Unilever (HUL) in the 2nd year of my graduation. HUL didn't have any opening for undergraduates when I was looking for an internship, but I have always been steadfast about my ambitions. So, I started mailing all the HUL IDs I could get, I started bombarding their social media- be it Instagram or twitter, I also went to their office in Andheri, Mumbai and sat for hours. Finally after 2 weeks of being maniac and maybe harassing all of their employees I got a call from HUL for an interview for a sales internship in their new project Drachma & My Kirana.
    I don't know if I just got lucky and they opened a new position or were they actually moved by my determination. Anyway I got what I wanted.

My Profile:

P-1 Drachma

This project was a loyalty program of HUL, they had developed a system of Unilever points and a POS machine which was sold to retailers in order to increase sales.

My Role:
  • To do on ground sales and ensure a retail accepts POS machines, understands its benefits and gets customer to use it
  • To ensure the machine is being used.(I don't have data of how many could I sell though)

P-2 My Kirana

This was a pilot project to get all small Kirana (grocery) stores online. The retailer was supposed to agree to display his store online on My Kirana app by HUL; then people could buy online. Delivery would be the responsibility of HUL in the beginning.

My Role:
  • Explain to retailers the benefits of the program & how it would increase sales.
  • Get the consent agreement signed by the vendor
