1. Giving Back

I've always believed in giving back to society, while I can't make big philanthropic contributions like Bill Gates, I do things that I can with an aspiration to make effective philanthropic contributions in terms of money and execution by 2030.

What am I doing right now?

Social Impact Challenge - 08/2019-02/2020

Aim of this challenge was to accelerate income of selected group of beneficiaries by Atal Incubation Centre. We were supported and trained to do so.
We had a boot camp where my team & I along with other selected teams were trained in brainstorming, creating ideas, finalizing plans, and creating financials.
Then we were introduced to different beneficiaries, and we had to present how is our team effective and strong. The beneficiaries chose a team to support them.
We were chosen by Mogra farmers of Khuded, Maharashtra to accelerate their incomes.

What did we do?
We accelerated income of 25 farmers of Khuded by 12%.

  • Creating a direct channel between sales and manufacturing
  • Solving problem of irrigation by saving via “jugaad” (we created idea of digging a deep hole in their very big farming plots, covering it with plastic sheet and then saving water there), this wasn’t a permanent solution, but we managed until government could set a direct line.
  • What we see we can manage and what we manage we can change. These farmers never maintained accounts, so we gave lessons on simple bookkeeping.

AAZADI - 06/2019-12/2019

I was terrified by the fact that sexual assaults & rape were no more a shocking news. It was as if everyone was immune to all this.
This isn't the country I am so proud about, I am not the one who sits on bleachers and complains. I decided to create an organisation to eliminate rape by 2030.
In 1st phase we created self-defence camps and trained underprivileged girls in self- defence camps.
We impacted lives of 180 children.

These are some major contributions I've had privilege serve to society. Apart from this I've volunteered at an NGO- taught English & Math.

2. Training And Development

Cornell Maha 60 Accelerator Program: 01/02/2021- 01/04/2023

Cornell Maha 60 is a year-long accelerator program offered by the Cornell University in partnership with the Department of Industries of Maharashtra. The incubation centre was set up to train 60 entrepreneurs and build the next set of leaders spearheading Maharashtra's meteoric growth. We were trained in functional business skills and provided with a platform to network with Angel Investors and mentored by industry experts.

We were selected via an exhaustive process of form filling & multiple rounds of interviews. There more than 1000 applicants out of which 60 of us were selected.
We were trained & mentored by world class professors of Cornell University who flied down to Mumbai to train us.
We were mentored by professors like Prof. Gautam Ahuja, Prof. Allan Filipowicz, Prof. Nirmal Gupta, Prof. Kiran Girotra and many more eminent faculties.

I loved the teachings in modules of marketing, strategy, operations, Digital transformation & innovation.

The major benefit apart from this faculty was an amazing cohort who have supported me in many aspects from financial modelling to investment.
We also got support from IAS Dr. Kamble who arranged sessions for us to seek support directly from him and government.

I'll update more on this as I go forward.

Landmark Worldwide: Team, Management & Leadership Program: 01/11/2021- 01/11/2022

To fulfil large accomplishments, you need prowess in the distinctions of management, leadership, and teams, as well as systems and tools for creating and executing plans of action. The Team, Management, and Leadership Program is a year-long advanced training program that includes mastering the distinctions of Landmark's communication courses, as well as the distinctions of management and leadership in accomplishing projects and producing remarkable results through teams. In the Team, Management, and Leadership Program I am being a leader, causing teams to fulfil on any sized project - with velocity.

We have a design statement before we start any training, this statement is empowering and shows exactly what do I need to do.
Statement:
Creating teams and teamwork in any situation
That produce powerful results in many areas of life with freedom and ease
While having affinity and possibility in all of one's conversations and relationships.

I've been highly contributed by this program in managing my team.
I always felt am I doing it right? Did I take the right decision? Was it okay to fire someone? Is it okay to be so demanding to people who are above my age? Is my team listening to me as leader?
I think these are fairly normal questions and doubts anyone would have especially at the age of 21 when all you've done is this business.
This program empowered me not by saying yes, you are the best but by showing me how small I was that I would let my fears come in the way of achieving excellence for my team.

Being an efficient leader means you see beyond yourself and I've been training and practicing in the same.
